Sino-US
trade relations have heated up again over a dispute over the source of the
coronavirus. His push is on the Chinese company Huawei. Beijing has called on

technology company Huawei. The U.S. Department of Commerce recently announced

restrictions on the world's second-largest smartphone maker, accused of spying
in the United States, have sparked new tensions between the United States and
China in the fight for global technology dominance, according to a report by
news agency AFP.
A statement
from the Chinese Foreign Ministry on Saturday said the Chinese government would
strongly support the legitimate and legal rights and interests of Chinese
institutions. We call on the United States to immediately stop unreasonable
repression of Chinese companies, including Huawei . The Trump administration's
move will destroy the chain of global production, supply and price.

Department of Commerce said on Friday that their announcement had halted
efforts by Huawei to weaken U.S. export controls.
Semiconductors
are needed for Huawei's widely used smartphones and telecom equipment, which
has become the focus of the global technological dominance battle between the
United States and China.
The United
States is trying to persuade its allies to remove Huawei's gear from its 5G
network, alleging that China could use Huawei equipment for espionage. Huawei
has denied all allegations of spying.
The U.S.
Department of Commerce says Huawei continues to use chips made using U.S.
software and technology, even after it was blacklisted in May last year. As a
result of the policy change, foreign companies that use US chip-making
technology will have to seek permission to supply chips to Huawei.
Over the
past week, countermeasures against coronavirus have been announced. Beijing has
also threatened retaliation against the United States for filing several
lawsuits against China over the coronavirus epidemic.
